The evolution of an industry
Download the case study to find out how wood was used to transform an industrial building in Hyltebruk, Sweden.
A mass timber building was the obvious choice when Stora Enso transformed part of the paper mill in Hyltebruk, Sweden, into a formed fiber factory.
The new CLT building is built inside one of the old concrete buildings and the contrast between the two is hard to miss.
“You really have to see it for yourself,” says Adam Örnstedt, production engineer at Hylte. “When you walk from the old plant and into the new one, it’s like the difference between night and day.”
